Professor Yoav Gelber's indispensable history of the Israeli War of Independence (otherwise known as the 1948 War) is now available in paperback. I highly recommend reading the appendices, available online, which compare what actually happened at Deir Yassin and Tantura, with the version present in Palestinian propaganda. Enjoy, AIWAC
